WYKKED WYTCH Covers EVANESCENCE's 'Bring Me To Life'; Audio Available
August 31, 2008Florida-based, female-fronted extreme metal band WYKKED WYTCH has posted its cover of the EVANESCENCE smash hit "Bring Me To Life" on its MySpace page. The track was recorded by Matt LaPlant (NONPOINT, SIKTH) and Gus Rios (MALEVOLENT CREATION) at Bieler Bros. Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida. Mixing and mastering was handled by Eric Rachel (ATREYU, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN) at Trax East Studios in New Jersey.
The song will be available exclusively through iTunes and other digital music providers in October. There are also plans for the track to be included on a movie soundtrack early next year. More details to follow.
WYKKED WYTCH will perform at this year's edition of the Indianapolis Metal Fest, set to take place September 26-27 at Madame Walker Theater in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The video for WYKKED WYTCH's cover version of the EURYTHMICS hit song "Sweet Dreams" can be viewed below. The clip was directed by Kevin Custer (MADBALL, OVERKILL, KINGDOM OF SORROW) and was produced by Dale "Rage" Resteghini (MUDVAYNE, TRIVIUM, HATEBREED) of Raging Nation Films.
WYKKED WYTCH's fourth album, "Memories of a Dying Whore", was released through the band's own label Perish Music.
According to a press release, "Memories of a Dying Whore" was remixed by Eric Rachel (THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER, ATREYU, GOD FORBID) at Trax East Studios and was mastered by Alan Douches (UNEARTH, MASTODON, SHADOWS FALL) at West West Side Music in New York.
